There are many misconceptions on what the roll of the funeral director is, creating many myths and unknown truths. Getting people the facts and offering a Q&A to give families confidence to decide end-of-life decisions without being scared and having the knowledge to make the best decisions for your families."

Born and raised in a small farm community in Iowa, Tiffany Taylor has been in the funeral industry for 10 years and a licensed funeral director for 8 years. "I love helping families celebrate their loved ones and I’m very passionate on educating people about deathcare. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, rescuing stray cats, and being active."

Join us for this engaging discussion where we challenge the myths of aging and stereotypes and unveil opportunities for a vibrant lifestyle.

Dr. Jennifer Margrett is a Professor of Human Development and Family Studies and Associate Dean for Research and Graduate Education in the College of Human Sciences at Iowa State University. Jennifer is a fellow of the American Psychological Association and Gerontological Society of America, and her research focuses on improving how adults develop and age, with emphasis on cognitive and daily activities.  She is currently leading a study, funded by the National Institutes of Health, that examines how romantic partners manage everyday tasks.

Shiloh Burke

Shiloh Burke is a licensed, independent insurance agent that specializes in Medicare Insurance. She believes in educating clients and offering many options to suit each individuals needs. Over the years she has volunteered in various roles, from Girl Scout leader, Sunday school teacher to Boone School Board member.

Jennifer Crowl

Jennifer Crowl specializes in Medicare and has honed her skills with Federal and Veterans Plans. She is a farm-raised veteran who has been an insurance professional for over 30 years. She may have many years behind her but she is still young at heart! Jennifer is the owner of Valor Insurance Services based out of Adel, IA. She works to make a fit for the consumer to keep more money in their pockets. Provides a no bull version of Medicare to all.

Katie Nosekabel

Aetna Medicare Solutions

Katie Nosekabel is currently the Central Iowa Broker Manager for Aetna Medicare.  She works with local brokers to help educate them on Medicare products so that they can provide our members with the excellent knowledge and service.

Central Iowa RSVP, Marshall County

The risk of financial scams are at an all-time high. Take a stand and shield your savings with expert advice and learn about available resources from the Iowa Insurance Division. Fraud Fighters will help you arm yourself with expert fraud prevention tips, reporting resources, and more so you can stay a step ahead of fraudsters.

For this special presentation, caregivers in both the professional and family capacity are also encouraged to attend with their clients or loved ones and be educated on how to minimize the risk of losing hard earned money.

Diane worked over 18 years in the human services and human resources fields, followed by over 20 years as a Volunteer Coordinator.  She and her husband are happily retired and live in Marshalltown.  Since retiring, she has volunteered with the 3 programs she previously coordinated, along with a variety of RSVP volunteer opportunities.

Doni grew up on a farm in Tama County, but Marshalltown has been home all of her adult life.  She retired from ISU Extension/Marshall County as the 4-H Youth Coordinator in 2013.  Since then, she has become a very busy volunteer, as well as a full-time Grandma and Great Grandma!  She is a Master Gardener, a Trees Forever Committee member, Central Iowa RSVP Advisory Council member, Home Delivered Meals volunteer, as well as being involved in many other volunteer opportunities with RSVP.
